Summary: Annotation Arthur Conan Doyle's His Last Bow collects together eight Sherlock Holmes stories. Originally called Reminiscences of Sherlock Holmes and not containing the title story His Last Bow, later editions of this book added that final story and changed the title. When the Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes were first sold America, the publishers removed The Adventure of the Cardboard Box, considering its dealing with adultery to be too scandalous for the American public. The story was not released in the United States until year later, when it was included in His Last Bow.
